COO Thai Cuisine is a thai restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 2932 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60657, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under asian fusion restaurant, seafood restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chicago, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 5–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. More information is available on its website, coothaicuisine.toast.site.

Blew my socks off. I had heard about that crab curry and needed to see for myself. The hype is real! I cannot wait to return. We enjoyed their scallops, ceviche, and mango sticky rice made with butterfly pea flowers. Everyone we interacted with was extremely kind, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. Yall will be seeing me again! ❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯ shoutout to T <3

I came here with a couple of girlfriends for a nice weekend dinner. We were excited to try it and the food didn't disappoint. Everything was very flavorful and bright and we were surprised to see that the menu was not noodle heavy like most Thai food places. We shared everything so tried to order items that are not the norm when you think of Thai food. Started out with the thai iced tea, which was a bit bland. The tea could have been stronger, I just tasted a lot of milk. Appetizers were the pork jowl served with sticky rice. It was good, but the fatty part could have been caramelized a bit more, but the sauce was delicious. We also shared the crab papaya salad. The papaya strands seem to have been fried; that was unusual but tasty. The sauce on that was fiery and bright. Entrees we shared the crab fried rice, roasted squid in ink and the short rib. The crab fried rice was good, very buttery but not that much crab. The stars were the squid and the short rib (the sauce was amazing..we kept scooping it up and dabbed it on the rice). Overall, I would come back and try some of the other dishes. It was a great meal!

Name change - it's Coo Thai now. The staff here is amazing. They remember your favorites. Anthony Bourdain once said consistency is the key to restaurants. I'm glad to report nothing has changed(see previous reviews in Yelp). The pad thai is still as intense. I've had crab fried rice but theirs is the best. The squid with black ink is as excellent as before, but it is a little salty this time. The beef Panang curry sauce is just right and the meat is ridiculously soft. I cannot say enough about our server Oil, so thoughtful and attentive. Donot be put off the menu pricing outside. They are worth it!

This review was for Coup de Thai not the current COO Thai!! We came on Mother's day and because it was Mother's day we got complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and dessert on the house! We almost ordered the mango sticky rice but we were so full and then they brought us free dessert. I would come back just for this dessert alone. It had the blue sticky rice as the base and then on top it was almost like a frozen shaved coconut ice cream situation with some palm seeds, toasted coconut flakes, and something else. I looked up their dessert menu and it was not on there but I hope it will be in the future! Appetizers-- Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Som Yum ($21.95) 10/10!!--I would also come back just for this. The soft shell crab was amazing and this was a very unique take on traditional papaya salad. The papaya was also fried in the same amazing batter as the soft-shell crab. Next time, I would ask for it to be spicier! Tom Yum Ceviche 7/10 ($16.95)-- it was good but the tum yum flavor was very dark and concentration so it was strong. I can see this being a hit or miss for some people. Order it with caution and make sure you love tom yum first. Entrees-- Seafood Tom Yum Fried Rice ($31.95)

A decent Thai spot in Lakeview with some hits & a few misses. The claypot glass noodles were the highlight - garlicky, flavorful, and satisfying with well-seasoned shrimp. The scallop curry had a pleasant coconut base but felt underwhelming with just a single scallop, and the grilled squid had good flavor but leaned a bit too chewy. The golden shrooms were also overly fried and felt heavy after a few bites. There was a delay due to an order mix-up, though the staff handled it graciously with complimentary drinks and dessert. Overall, a decent meal with some enjoyable bites, even if the overall executions felt a bit uneven.
